Well-Wisher(6)

I know I have been slacking on the posts, but I promise I have not been slacking on photographing the amazing people who come into my life! Grggghhh Midterms… What can I say. Speaking of midterms, this Well-Wisher post is dedicated to someone who is taking a very interesting class with me and had even more on her plate during the last week of midterms than I did. Three papers, a couple of test and quizzes… I have no idea how she survived.

Jordyn Goffo

I met Jordyn at the beginning of the year and it was not until the mid to end of last semester and the beginning of this semester that we got closer. I can honestly say that she is one of the reasons I am doing so well and love my Intro to International Relations class. We have some of the greatest conversations about current events, morality, national interest and war in addition to philosophers and theologians such as Machiavelli, Thucydides, and Morgenthau. She also understands all my weird and strange quirks.

Jordyn is one of the most strong-willed and vocal people I know. She knows where she stands and is not afraid of expressing her opinion. It is so refreshing. When I get my license and magically acquire a car for the day, I know I can count on Jordyn to jump in no questions ask and go on a spontaneous adventure with me. I know she hates when I ask you this specific question, so I am just going to go ahead and say it… We are going to be friends next year.

Dear Jordyn, I cannot wait to see all the amazing and stunning places life takes you. Promise me that you will do all the things you imagined you would and see all the incredible places you’ve always dreamed of traveling to. I am so grateful to call you my friend and know you’re going to do amazing things. I promise we will go to a concert and the planetarium one of these days.

Go confidently in the direction of your dreams! Live the life you’ve imagined. As you simplify your life, the laws of the universe will be simpler. // Henry David Thoreau
